Refund Policy
Effective 18 June 2026
Purchases are sold and processed by Paddle, our merchant of record, so refunds follow Paddle's refund policy and Buyer Terms. Under those terms you can request a refund within 14 days of a purchase. This page explains how that works for the products Ameretat LLC ("Ameretat", "we", "us") supplies. It is in addition to, and does not replace or limit, any mandatory consumer rights you have under applicable law (see section 8).
This Refund Policy forms part of our Terms of Service and should be read together with our Privacy Policy. Pricing for each product is shown on its page and on our Pricing page.
1. Who you buy from: Ameretat and Paddle
Our paid products are sold through Paddle, our authorized reseller and Merchant of Record. For each purchase, Paddle (not Ameretat) is the seller of record and your contractual counterparty for the transaction. Paddle is responsible for checkout, order processing, billing and payment, invoicing, the collection and remittance of applicable taxes (VAT/sales tax), processing refunds, and handling chargebacks and payment disputes. Each purchase is also governed by Paddle's own Buyer Terms and refund policy, which are presented to you at checkout and which apply to your purchase.
Ameretat is the software provider and licensor. We are responsible for the product itself: delivering your license or entitlement, the accuracy of our pre-sale descriptions, support, and our own privacy practices. We are not the seller of record for the payment, and the Merchant-of-Record arrangement does not transfer your statutory consumer-protection rights away from you or relieve us of our own product and disclosure responsibilities.
Paddle's identity, address, and contact details (as seller of record) are shown to you at checkout and on your receipt or invoice. Our own details are: Ameretat LLC, 30 N Gould St, Ste N, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA, support@ameret.at.
2. How to request a refund
A refund may be requested within 14 days of your purchase. The window starts on the date of the Paddle transaction; for recurring plans it runs from each charge (the initial purchase and each renewal), not only the first. To request a refund, you can either:
- email support@ameret.at with your order reference from your Paddle receipt, and we will help arrange it; or
- contact Paddle directly using the details on your receipt.
Because Paddle is the Merchant of Record, refunds are issued by Paddle back to your original payment method, under its refund policy. The email above is a valid channel to start a refund request; contacting us first does not waive or delay any statutory right you may have, and you remain free to contact Paddle or pursue a chargeback directly.
Refunds are normally issued promptly once approved, though the time for the funds to appear depends on your bank or card issuer and is outside our control.
3. Refunds across our products
One-time purchases and licenses
One-time purchases, such as app licenses, can be refunded within 14 days. When a refund is issued, the associated license or entitlement is revoked: any online entitlement is disabled, and continued use of the product after a refund is not authorized. For privacy-focused products where access is tied to a public key you control (for example, sukey.sh), a refund deactivates the entitlement bound to that key.
Subscriptions
Paid and subscription tiers are currently coming soon; today we offer a free tier. When subscription tiers launch, you will be able to cancel at any time (see section 5). You may request a refund of a charge within 14 days of that charge. After you cancel, your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period, and you are not charged again. Outside the 14-day window, a charge is treated as final and is not prorated for the unused portion of a period, except where a statutory right applies. Cancellation, renewal management, and billing run through Paddle.
Free tier
Our free tier involves no charge, so no refund arises from it. If a free trial ever converts to a paid plan, you will be told the price, the conversion date, and how to cancel before any charge, and your express consent will be captured at the Paddle checkout.
4. EU/EEA and UK consumers: your 14-day right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer in the EU, EEA, or UK, you normally have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for distance contracts, alongside the 14-day refund window described above. This statutory right is administered by Paddle as the seller of record, under its Buyer Terms.
For digital content and services supplied immediately, this withdrawal right can be lost once supply or performance has begun, but only where, at checkout, Paddle obtained your prior express consent to immediate supply and your acknowledgement that you thereby lose the right of withdrawal, and confirmed this to you on a durable medium. In plain terms, this is the "start now" consent you may be asked to give at checkout, equivalent to: "I request that performance begins immediately and I acknowledge that I lose my right of withdrawal once it has begun."
Where that consent and acknowledgement were not validly obtained, the statutory 14-day withdrawal right survives (even after download) and is honoured. This consent flow is presented and captured by Paddle at checkout, not by Ameretat; our policy describes it but does not collect it, replace it, or cap it. We do not treat EU/EEA/UK sales as simply "final" without reference to this consent mechanism.
Because checkout is concluded on Paddle's online interface, you exercise the statutory withdrawal right through Paddle's online withdrawal function (the prominently labelled "withdraw from the contract here" control), with confirmation acknowledged on a durable medium. You can also email support@ameret.at as an additional way to start the process. Our email-based refund request is not a substitute for that statutory function.
Paddle's Buyer Terms and refund policy govern the transaction (payment, invoicing, tax, and statutory withdrawal), while Ameretat's Terms of Service govern the product license, acceptable use, intellectual property, warranties, and support.
5. Cancelling a subscription
Subscription tiers are coming soon. When they launch, cancellation will be at least as easy as signing up and available through the same medium you used to sign up: if you signed up online, you can cancel online. You will be able to cancel through one of these routes:
- in the product or in your account, where the product uses an account;
- through the Paddle customer portal, using the details on your receipt; or
- by emailing support@ameret.at.
Cancellation will not require talking to a person or navigating retention "save" steps to complete. If a retention or discount offer is ever shown during cancellation, a clear option to cancel immediately will appear on the same screen. After you cancel, your plan stays active until the end of the paid period, with no further charge, and cancellation is confirmed on a durable medium. For products where access is tied to a public key rather than an account, cancellation ends the entitlement bound to that key; letting an entitlement lapse simply ends access.
When auto-renewing plans go live, we (or Paddle on our behalf) intend to send a renewal reminder before each renewal (and, for any plan that renews yearly or less often, between 15 and 45 days before it renews) identifying the product, the charge amount and frequency, and how to cancel, and to give at least 30 days' advance notice before any price increase, with a clear path to cancel before the new price takes effect. We will notify active subscribers of material changes to subscription terms.
6. Chargebacks and payment disputes
If something went wrong with your purchase, please contact us first at support@ameret.at; we can almost always sort it out faster than a chargeback. As the seller of record, Paddle handles payment disputes and chargebacks and is the entity a card dispute is filed against. Ameretat does not process or adjudicate chargebacks. Note that Paddle's name (not Ameretat's) appears on your card or bank statement, which may help you recognize the charge.
Using the chargeback process does not affect your separate statutory rights, and we will not penalize you for raising a legitimate dispute.
7. Invoices and receipts
The official tax invoice or receipt for your purchase is issued by Paddle, the seller of record, and carries Paddle's name and tax details. If you need an invoice, a VAT-ID or B2B invoice, or a corrected invoice, please contact Paddle using the details on your receipt. Ameretat does not issue its own VAT invoice or add your VAT number; your Paddle receipt is the source of the order reference used for any refund request.
8. Your statutory rights are unaffected
Nothing in this Refund Policy or in our Terms of Service limits or excludes any mandatory consumer-protection rights available to you under applicable law, including, where they apply, EU/EEA Consumer Rights Directive rights, conformity and guarantee rights, and the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015 and Consumer Contracts Regulations. Those statutory rights apply in addition to this policy and prevail over it where they conflict. In short: this does not affect your statutory rights. Our 14-day refund window is subject to this clause.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice through suitable means: an in-product or on-site notice for products without an account, or email where an account exists. For products that use no account or email, in-product and on-site notice is the channel we use. We will inform users of significant changes in clear language. Your continued use after changes take effect indicates acceptance for non-consumer use; consumers remain free to reject changes and stop using or cancel.
